What is SSL?
SSL is a communications protocol used on the Internet to establish a secure connection with a web server. This secure connection relies on public key cryptography and requires a digital certificate signed by a trusted authority (Entrust.net is the trusted authority which issued the digital certificate to Careington International). When a browser requests an SSL protected link from our web server, the browser and the server conduct security transactions. During the transactions, the server sends its certificate to the browser, the browser verifies its authenticity, and the server and browser exchange the session keys to be used for bulk encryption of data transmissions between the server and the browser.
